Four courses can be completed in less than a year providing the basic skills needed to successfully administer a non-profit organization. A masters and Ph.D. curriculum is also offered. Pew Partnership - Civic Entrepreneur Initiative
The Pew Civic Entrepreneur Initiative (PCEI) is a nationwide project to equip a diverse group of citizens, or "civic entrepreneurs," to play a greater role in decision making in their communities. Their Wanted: Solutions for America project mobilizes researchers to track successful projects and increases access communities have to these projects. The CE Initiative has tested strategies in partnership with ten cities. Intended to broaden and strengthen existing community leadership efforts, PCEI takes as its premise that the complexity of today's issues demands the involvement, commitment, and investment of a diverse array of individuals and organizations. No monetary grant is awarded with this program.
